This is the official site about "the Valenza's Folk Group" of Nuragus, the nameof our group has been given by the ancient Roman town of Valenza which has been destroyed by Barbarian people and by the pestilence in rural zones of the village stay ruins of the church. The birth of "Valenza's Folk Group" has taken place in 1994, in footsteps of a consolidated folkloristic tradition which has always characterised the cultural history of our village, it is the expressive answer to the general request advanced on this subject by a whole village. The same village is promoting and keeping up the folk group with attraction and conviction. The suggestive choreographic of the Valenza's Folk Group distinguishes for their originality that never forget the respect more scrupulous of tradition. "Su Ballu Seriu", "Sa Danza", "Su Ballu Nuraghesu" dances, are only few of dances which belong to the large repertory of our Folk Group. To this it adds the beauty of costumes, brought back recently to their ancient splendour in consequence of keen on and precise ethnographic research.
